Budding artists and green fingers

Year 1 were joined by some of our parents and carers for a lovely sunny walk through Regents Park and a visit to the allotments and Queen Mary’s Gardens.

Dividing into two groups, they took turns to explore both attractions. Whilst one group walked around the Rose Gardens, looking closely at the different types of rose and sketching their favourite flowers, the other half of 1K was busy learning about the plants that were growing in the Allotments, making leaf collages and event tasting a few of the edible leaves!

They have now added watercolour to their sketches which will be on display in our middle hall.

It was such a fantastic day and the children behaved beautifully!
