Year 6 had a wonderful workshop with Andy from the Crick Institute learning how to use microscopes. Once they were clear about how to focus, use the right magnification and turn on the light, they collaborated to present their learning in posters or presentations. They had to use scientific vocabulary, and Nabila and Marianne were really pleased to see their confident use of features of explanation writing from their work in English.
