A warm welcome to the Primrose Hill Primary School website.
This features lots of really useful information for our existing children and families, as well as those of you who wish to learn more about the school. We aim to showcase the children’s varied learning opportunities and hope you get a flavour for the rich and creative curriculum we offer to the children as well as key documents, a who’s who and some signposts to further information.
What’s happening right now? ………Well, the year so far has been busy and eventful. We have appreciated having our building back after a year of refurbishment and construction and are loving our new Ladybirds Reception Classroom and the fact that Y1 are now on the ground floor able to access an outside classroom for their learning. Elsewhere we have been teaching our new upgraded curriculum topics following last years School Improvement Plan work. The Friends of Primrose Hill have been busy creating exciting events and we have established Parent Reps across the school. In addition, we have had approval that our ARP – Autistic Resourced Provision – will open in the Autumn Term. This means some internal renovation and investment into the fabric of the building beginning in the Summer Holidays. We have also been consulting about introducing halal meat into the school and agreed to have a dual service option where both halal and non-halal food is used from September. During Spring 1 we had our Challenge Partner Review which went very well indeed and validated our self evaluation judgement of ‘outstanding’. We have also been exhibiting our STEAM projects to each other and the parents and carers. It was been wonderful to see the children’s designs turn into very high quality prototypes! In terms of working with our parents, we have had a series of very well attended workshops and sessions, as well as the installation of our parent screen outside in the playground. Please check out Laura’s School Improvement Plan Newsletters and weekly newsletters for further updates.
We’ve nearly finished all our SATS work, finalising our EYFS attainment and then thinking about reports, sports days, concerts and celebrations! Here’s to a busy end of the year ahead!
You can see what the children have been up to in our news pages which showcase the great learning which has taken place. The countdown begins now for the end of term – lots of seasonal celebration events to pack in too…..Curiosity Week, workshops, consultations, pupil progress reviews, coffee mornings, trips, concerts and much more!
