Last week we wrote to Becca’s dad who’s a food writer. We tried to persuade him to come to school and make some gingerbread with us because we were craving some after reading Hansel and Gretel. Our persuasion skills are clearly developing as our letters worked and he came in and cooked with us! He talked to us about his job which is to write recipe books. The next day we wrote our own gingerbread recipes and invited him back so we could show him what we’d written. He was very impressed!
