In Year 5, we have been doing a project looking at how Primrose Hill Primary School and the local area has changed since it was first built in the Victorian period. First, we thought about some different historical periods and ordered some of the most important historical events in the past to think about how the world has changed over time. Then we learnt about Primrose Hill when it was first built and what it would have been like to be a pupil here in the Victorian era. We went on a hunt around the school for original features – the school is bursting with history from the signs for the original boys and girls entrances to the wooden floors and beams in the middle hall. We were fascinated by how much history we could discover all around us!
