As part of Everybody Writes, Year 2 have enjoyed a themed week around the story Pumpkin Soup. We had a mystery box delivered to the classroom which contained several clues. After careful thought and even handwriting analysis, we were also sent a copy of the story. This revealed the author of the note and we wrote letters to try and help solve their problem. We also enjoyed a drama workshop, exploring pumpkins with different tools and ended the week by making our own soup. The first batch was too salty, but the second was just right. Delicious, nutritious and fun!
