Science Week in year 4!

Year 4 were incredibly lucky to have TWO visits from real-life scientists this Science Week! The first was a fantastic assembly from two scientists from UCL who help to develop nanorobots. (They also happened to be Sofia’s parents!). This assembly fitted in really well with our topic this term, Build a Robot!

 

Then, both classes were visited by a scientist from the Crick Institute in Kings Cross for a morning of scientific investigation! The children began by conducting an experiment into whether two ears were better than one. Once they had reached a conclusion from their results (two ears ARE better than one!), year 4 investigated how sound travels using just a coat hanger and some string…
