Tadpoles home learning

Welcome to our very first Tadpole post on the website. We want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our fantastic families in Tadpoles who have been completely wonderful in interacting with this half terms learning which has all been online. It gives us such pleasure to see the children in videos and photographs, following some of our learning ideas and lots of their own and yours.

Our topic this term was Nature Detectives and we looked at the life cycle of caterpillars, made butterflies ( “the hungry caterpillar story”) and spiders,( “the very busy spider”)  planted seeds and watched them grow ( “Jasper’s beanstalk”) had fun with playdough and collected lots of natural materials leaves, flowers, sticks etc for collage and games( “stick man”).

We looked at different types of trees and flowers, made binoculars and went bird watching. We did lots of physical activities with lots of you getting out to the park to keep your bodies fit and healthy. We made some lovely salads with Roxan and sang all our favourite songs with Chin chu.

We did lots of early years maths work looking at number, shape, volume , capacity, sequencing, patterns, time, to name a few. We learned how to do yoga and PE with Joe Wicks and we read lots and lots of other stories throughout the term too. Happy Holidays you all deserve it.

I wish we could show every single photo of your amazing work but there are too many here are just a few that we wanted to share.
