Year 5 trip to the Sir John Soane’s Museum

Year 5 visited the John Soane’s museum to gather information about one of the most eccentric and successful architects of the Georgian era. The children have been finding ancient Greek and Roman influences in local architecture and visited the museum to find out more about the eccentric architects life for our biography writing. We even visited the tomb which Sir John Soane designed for his wife at St Pancras Old Church – the design which later inspired the iconic red London telephone box!
