3M’s Delicious Dinner

Year 3 have been learning about a healthy diet in Science. They know that meals should be balanced with food from all groups. In Design Technology they designed healthy meals and voted on which one they would cook. The meal design that won was: scrambled egg with goats cheese on toast, with steamed broccoli and a side salad of tomatoes and cucumber. Their meal contains all the nutrients needed to grow well: carbohydrates, proteins, fat, vitamins and minerals. Preparing the meal involved hygiene, cooking on the hob, using a microwave and a toaster as well as presenting the food. Yummy and full of goodness – Well done 3M.
