Building a New Wild Flower Meadow

Our junior Gardeners are busy making another wild flower meadow. It’s hard work but a great way to use up some compost and tidy the garden (and of course next summer we will have lots of pollinators to help the plants produce fruit).

We are also making a leaf pile habitat for hedgehogs (and small invertebrates) who might want to join us for their winter hibernation.

Our chickens, Madonna, Kylie and Cyndi, love the company of the gardening club children. They especially love all the seed that they are fed by hand on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It’s the highlight of their week.
