Year 5 were lucky to have a virtual visit from Ruthie from the London Fire Brigade! She taught us all about the different causes of fires in the home, focussing on the most common (don’t leave those candles unattended, people!). Ruthie also taught us about different measures we can put in place to keep our homes safe (like not charging phones while we are sleeping) and the importance of having a fire exit plan. It was our first online workshop and Ruthie did a brilliant job of keeping us entertained while also keeping us informed!
