This half term Year 5 have been working in the art room with Alice on a project inspired by American painter Georgia ‘O’Keefe. After studying her work, and in particular the enlarged scale and the tonality of her paintings, they have set about painting their own giant flowers. They are learning techniques for mixing a range of tones and tints with the addition of white, or black and using their brushes to ‘blend’. I’m sure you will agree that these work in progress are looking pretty epic! Watch this space!
