Swishy Swashy

Nursery have been enjoying ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ as part of a journeys topic. Today, with Alice and some year 5 Art Ambassadors they got busy ripping crepe paper and scrunching tissue paper to form the long wavy grass and red flowers from the story.

After exploring the feelings and sounds the ‘grass’ and flowers made, the children discovered what happened when they held up the strips into the strong winds.  Before the rain hit the Art Ambassadors just had time to help them transform their bridge into a meadow and they took a journey through the long wavy grass..
