In Year 3, we have started reading the story Gregory Cool, which is set on the island of Tobago. We enjoyed exploring the sights and sounds of Tobago in our own classrooms. We tried coconut milk and bananas, explored sand and shells, listened to the sounds of the ocean and touched some huge palm leaves. We even got to experience the magic of watching fireflies and stars at night. All of the activities helped us to really imagine the setting and we are looking forward to producing some brilliant writing inspired by the story.
