Year 3 have been inspired by Tutankhamun’s famous death mask to create our own pharaoh headdresses. We learnt all about the purpose of the headdresses worn by the pharaohs, which were inspired by those worn by the Egyptian gods and goddesses and used to show how powerful the pharaohs were. We were fascinated by the symbolism used in the headdresses, particularly the colours and shapes. Then, we used all of our knowledge to design and create our own headdresses. We learnt all about using digital images and collage to create artwork.
