This half term, Year 2 have been learning all about plants. As part of our learning journey, we have been designing and making our own plant pots. When they are ready, we will paint them and plant sunflowers in them, which we will use our new knowledge to look after. We had a great time making our plant pots out of clay – it was very messy! We learnt about the technique for making a pinch pot and had to use our strong muscles to mould the clay into the right shape. We can’t wait to see what our finished pots look like!
