Propagating Plants

For our science unit on Living things and their habitats, we have looked at the different ways that plants can propagated, growing new plants, other than from a seed.

The children are trying to grow new plants from different parts of the parent plant, for example from stem, leaf and root cuttings. In groups, the children took stem cuttings from a Geranium plant and a leaf cuttings from an African Violet. Now we have to wait and see what happens.
