Remote Learning News

You will have seen from our weekly newsletter that there is still lots going on in our community.  It is important for you to keep up to date with the newsletter, website and twitter if you can.

Free School Meals

Ilirjana has been communicating with our Free School Meal families with regards to the Edenred supermarket voucher scheme.  Some of the initial vouchers are about to expire so please check your emails and texts as once this happens, we will be unable to help you claim them.  In addition, we are receiving fortnightly food hampers.  We will receive our next bundle of food on Monday 11th.  I will text you when things are ready to collect.

Lia has settled in beautifully and is doing a great job galvanising her team and getting to know the children and families.  We have receognised whilst Evidence Me is a wonderful tool, it has some limitations.  With this in mind, Lia, Syra and I have been developing a mock Google Classroom which we are going to populate and launch with the Ladybirds.  This is good preparation for the children going into Y1 anyway, so we thought we would give it a go.  This will provide some more effective communication of work and activities.  Watch this space!

KS1 & 2

Our adaptations at the beginning of term have been effective.  Nearly all of our children are now accessing work online.  Where this is not the case, we have loaned out our school devices or are delivering paper copies of work to families by post.   There are a number of children not engaging despite lots of efforts by the staff team.    We still want to keep in touch with you as members of the school community.  Most feedback has been really positive about the phonecalls you are getting.  Staff certainly enjoy talking to you and the children.

Keep smiling and stay safe everyone
